For a while now I have been debating whether I should start an Instagram account where I would post a curation of my favorite finds. People constantly ask me for advice on where I find my things. So, a few days ago I just did it. I launched The Jessie List. I LOVE cute things like notebooks, headbands, swimsuits etc. + have a lot of insight on cool places. The photos above are a sneak peak of what I'll be posting! I hope to post like every other day... but lets be real that probably won't happen.

When my sisters left for college I was given the opportunity to redecorate my room. Now most parents would probably take all control, but since interior design had always been my dream, at age 13 I took on the project. (not to say my mom didn't help me, she did a lot)

Since our rooms are where we spend a lot of our time, I believe it is important to make it inspiring. I wanted my room to be a space of positivity and creativity. So, I have uplifting quotes, colors everywhere, and photographs from my favorite memories. Just being in a bright place makes me happy, so being surrounded by bright walls daily makes such a difference in my mood.

Ever since my sister Mckelle sent me a picture of this wall, I have been obsessed with it. I am a huge supporter of dreaming big, setting goals, and anything colorful... So, a hand-painted wall with DREAM BIG in pretty writing splattered all over the place, made me kind of super. happy. OH and just when I thought it couldn't get any better, butterflies too!!!

Ok on a more serious note, I truly belive we ALL can achieve our goals/dreams no matter how intimidating or crazy they may seem. In fact, the bigger your dreams are, the more motivated you will be to accomplish them. To me the best part of goal setting is the fact that they are YOUR personal goals, not your mom's, not your best friends, YOURS. I think this is so great because it gives you and I a sort of power to accomplish anything we want to, on our own. All it takes is diligence, hard work, and choosing to do so. Ahhhh, there is no better feeling than acheiving the im-possible.

AQUARIUM OF THE PACIFIC

A year ago today I woke up really wanting to go to the aquarium. (and when I want to do something I make it happen) So,  I convinced, well practically dragged, my best friend Shelby with me to the Aquarium of the Pacific! Once we got there I was so excited and in the hype of it splurged and bought an annual pass... I made a promise to get my moneys worth by going three times, and today I fulfilled that promise.

Oh and side note, Shelby and I had a blast because the aquarium is just so cool.

Anyways, today was awesome because I went to the aquarium by myself, read every sign, took pictures, and sketched the pretty fish.

So far I'm liking 2016.

My future NYC apartment gingerbread style.

This winter break was unique. It was the first time my family was ALL together in two years!!! While we had our ups and downs, we overall made some of the happiest memories together. I'm so blessed I get to experience life with them by my side.
